Trump Returns to Butler Pennsylvania, to Finish the Rally at the Scene of the First Assassination Attempt

On Saturday October 5, 2024, President Trump returned to the grounds in Butler where an assassin’s bullet almost claimed his life on July 13, 12 weeks earlier. This was an emotional return for the thousands of people who came to hear the rally, estimates of more than 100,000 people. A surprise for the audience included an amazing tenor who performed a number of songs at the end.

There were several speakers beforehand such as JD Vance, Elon Musk and his son Eric Trump. There were also some surprises with a beautiful tribute to Corey Comperatore, the fireman who took the fatal shot that day in July.

At the beginning of the rally, Trump asked for a moment of silence to honor firefighter Corey Comperatore, who died as he shielded family members from gunfire. New York opera singer Christopher Macchio sang “Ave Maria” after a bell rung at the same time that gunfire began on July 13. It was a very touching moment of the evening.

At the end of President Trump’s speech, Christopher Macchio returned to the stage and sang “Nessun Dorma” which can be heard during the ending of the movie “The Sum of All Fears.” He then finished with four more songs which were extremely moving and a lovely surprise to this special tribute night.

Here is the full Trump speech with the opera singer closing songs above.
